Algeria, Cameroon stress need to intensify efforts to promote African solutions to Africa’s problems

Algerian Foreign Minister Sabri Boukadoum and his Cameroonian counterpart Lejeune Mbella Mbella on Wednesday signed a memorandum of understanding to boost political consultations between the two countries.

According to a statement of the Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the talks between the two sides also dealt with the prevailing conditions in Libya, Western Sahara, Mali, the Sahel region, Lake Chad Basin and Central Africa, where the two ministers stressed the need to intensify efforts to promote African solutions to Africa’s problems.

The statement added that Mr. Boukadoum was received at length by President Paul Biya, who conveyed to him the brotherly greetings of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdel Majid Tebboune, as well as his message regarding the will to strengthen bilateral relations and consolidate the traditions of consultation on regional and international issues of common interest.
