British Minister for Middle East and North Africa, James Cleverly, reiterated Tuesday his country’s full support for the United Nations-led efforts to find a solution that would enable the Sahrawi people to self-determination.

In a written response to questions from Alex Sobel, Shadow Minister (Digital, Culture, Media and Sport), the British official said that the United Kingdom fully supported the United Nations-led efforts to find a solution that would enable the Sahrawi people to self-determination.

The official recalled the statement made by the British Foreign Minister following the former US president’s declaration of recognition of Morocco’s alleged sovereignty over Western Sahara, in which he affirmed the position of the United Kingdom, which considered the status of Western Sahara to be undetermined.
