The British government is following up on the developments of the siege of the house of Sahrawi human rights activist Sultana Khaya, the British minister of state for the Middle East and North Africa, James Cleverly, has said.

Asked by MP Alan Brown what steps the British government plans to take to raise the issue of the continued house arrest of Sahrawi activist Sultana Khaya and the strike of Sahrawi political prisoner Mohamed Lamine Haddi, the British official said his country was following up on these cases and discussing the human rights situation in general on a regular basis with the Moroccan government.
