The European Commission has recently adopted a joint document, relaunching the strategic partnership between the European Union and its partners in the southern neighbourhood.

The document, a copy of which obtained by Sumoud, included the issue of Western Sahara as one of common concern, calling on the European Union and its southern neighbours to intensify support for efforts to resolve the issue of Western Sahara under the United Nation- led process.
