The Court of the European Union annulled Wednesday the two fisheries and agriculture agreements binding Morocco to the European Union and extended to occupied Western Sahara, affirming that they were concluded in violation of the decision of the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) of 2016 and without the consent of the people of Western Sahara.

“The Court annuls the decisions of the Council relating, on the one hand, to the agreement between the EU and Morocco modifying the tariff preferences granted by the EU to products of Moroccan origin and, on the other hand, to their partnership agreement in the field of sustainable fisheries”, underlines the statement of the Court of the European Union.
