Mauritanian president receives a letter from his Sahrawi counterpart

President of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, Mr. Mohamed Ould-Sheikh Al-Ghazwani, received, on Monday at the Presidential Palace in Nouakchott, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Mohamed-Salem Ould-Salek.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs handed his host a letter from President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Brahim Ghali, on the latest developments related to the Sahrawi issue and bilateral relations.

In a statement to the Mauritanian News Agency, the Minister of Foreign Affairs said, “the Sahrawi Republic believes that stability and security in the region are linked to respect for borders, justice and right, the Sahrawi Republic will work in this direction as a member of the African Union and on the basis that relations are based on mutual respect and common interests, the Sahrawi people who work for peace and fight for their rights will always remain for peace to be based on justice and on respect for borders for all components of the region”.
