A Saharawi citizen has been killed in a new air strike by the Moroccan occupier in the area of Aghzoumal, situated in the locality of Midjik (Rio de Oro region) in the liberated Saharawi territories, announced the National Director of Security, documentation and protection of institutions of the Sahrawi Republic (SADR), Sidi Oukal.

In a statement to the APS, Mr. Oukal specified that Moroccan forces struck with a drone, two civilian vehicles in the Aklibat El Foula region in Rio de Oro (liberated Sahrawi territories), killing the citizen El Hocine Lahbib Abderrahmane and injuring others.

Stressing that the Moroccan occupier was looting the property of the Sahrawi people, the Sahrawi official indicated that these violations were committed while international humanitarian law guarantees the protection of civilians and their property in the event of war.

This aggression “is not the first one carried out by the occupation forces against Sahrawi, Mauritanian and Algerian civilians”, he condemned.

A few days ago, another similar strike in early November, targeting two Algerian trucks, killed three Algerian nationals.
