French Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs Jean-Yves Le Drian will pay a two-day visit to Algeria, Thursday and Friday, at the invitation of his counterpart, Sabri Boukadoum, the Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Wednesday in a statement.
In addition to the talks that the chief of French diplomacy will have with his Algerian counterpart, he will be received in audience by President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune and Prime Minister Abdelaziz Djerad, added the source.
The two sides will have “an exchange of views on regional and international issues of common interest, including the situation in Western Sahara, the Malian issue, the situation in the Sahel region and the crisis in Libya, the resolution of which will be the focus of discussions between them,” according to the same source.
